About this Event

Invisibilia (NPR) cofounder Lulu Miller is an award-winning journalist whose first book, Why Fish Don't Exist, is a true story of love, discovery, eugenics, ocean waters, and a caution against reducing human beings to simple labels.

The Neurodiversity Project founder and host Jenara Nerenberg is an award-winning journalist whose first book, Divergent Mind, is an investigation into gender bias and the hidden sensory worlds of neurodivergent women with synesthesia, autism, high sensitivity, ADHD, and sensory processing disorder.

In conversation, the two writers will explore overlapping themes of the history and future of science, valuing cognitive diversity, and the danger of relying on restrictive categorizations of human beings and their behavior.

This event is likely to sell out and advance ticketing is recommended. Books will be available for purchase and the authors will be signing.

What can we learn about intellectual pursuit, the mysteries of human behavior, storytelling, and the role of science journalism in improving human life and edging the world toward a more just society?
